FIELD: production processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention allows increasing ceramic surface wear-resistance. The method consists in that the sintered zirconium-dioxide-based ceramic surface is, first, polished, then a 1 to 10 micron-thick aluminum layer is applied thereon. The resulted surface is subjected to 1 to 10 electron beam pulses, the electron energy making 15 to 30 keV, the pulse duration making 30 to 100 mcs and current density in the beam making 40 to 100 A/sm2.
EFFECT: higher wear resistance of ceramic surface.
