FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for re-use metal cord of automotive tiers. Proposed unit comprises long-stroke air cylinder 1 with first L-like hooking device secured on cylinder outer rod with detachable spigot 2 and second similar L-like hooking device 4 fitted aligned on drive shaft of geared motor 6 mounted on its foundation 7, and clamping-locking device 3 rigidly fixed on foundation 7 of air cylinder 1. It is driven by compressed air forced in piston end space of cylinder 1, while metal cord 8 is stretched by cylinder rod hooking device 4.
EFFECT: higher efficiency unit allowing reusing of tire metal cord transforming it into dense and compact bundles.
