FIELD: oil and gas production.

SUBSTANCE: here is disclosed demulsifier of resin kind for breaking emulsion of water-in-oil type. Demulsifier contains oxy-ethylated product of inter-phase condensation of alkyl-phenol with number of carbon atoms in alkyl radical C₈-C₁₂ with formaldehyde corresponding to 4-6-nucleus novolak, organic dissolver and SAS (surface active substance) chosen from a row of aryl- or alkyl-sulphonates at the following ratio of components (wt, shares): oxy-ethylated product of condensation - 70.0-80.0; SAS - 0.05-0.5; organic dissolvent - up to 100. Also, here is disclosed the device for breakdown of oil-water emulsions corresponding to the above described demulsifier and procedure for production of demulsifier of resin kind for breaking emulsions of water-in-oil type. The procedure consists in inter-phase condensation of alkyl-phenol with number of carbon atoms in alkyl radical C₈-C₁₂, with formaldehyde at presence of surface-active substance (SAS) chosen from the row of aryl- or alkyl-sulphonates, acid catalyst with pKa>2 and organic dissolvent, in heating, in separation of water phase and in obtaining product of inter-phase condensation corresponding to 4-6 nucleus novolak. The latter is oxy-ethylated at presence of alkali catalyst.

EFFECT: raised degree of transformation and degree of alkyl-phenol condensation.
