SUBSTANCE: device consists of first part and second part containing centrifugal rotor; second part rotates relative to first part in working condition. Rotating fluid body is positioned in the interval in connection between the first and second parts of the separator under working condition. A mechanical packing device is installed in the interval for its sealing. The packing device has the first packing element of the first part of the separator equipped with the first surface of contact and the second packing element on the second part of the separator parallel to the first surface of contact. During operation liquid body actuates the first packing element or second packing element and sets it off along axis so, that the first surface of contact and second surface of contact are pressed to each other. Force of pre-tension, acting from the side of an element of pre-tension, sets off the first surface of contact and second surface of contact relative to each other forming a gap acting as throttle.
EFFECT: increased reliability of sealing of centrifugal separator.
