FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: gas, inert relative to liquid transported by pipeline, is continuously or briefly pumped into initial section of pipeline before closure of shutoff valve. Gas is dispersed in form of bubbles from 0.1 to 20 mm dimension. Upon closure of the shutoff valve, gas collected in the pipeline is discharged from it or completely removed, or compressed and is repeatedly supplied into the initial section of the pipeline; thus, gas is re-circulated. The device consists of pipeline 1 with closing shut-off valve 2, of branch 3 of input of compressed gas installed in the initial section of pipeline 1, of branch 4 of gas discharge in the section directly before shutoff valve 2, and also of gas disperser 8 installed in pipeline 1 and connected to branch of compressed gas input 3, and of gas separating element 5 connected to gas discharge branch 4 or included to the section of pipeline 1 directly before shutoff valve 2.
EFFECT: raised efficiency of hydraulic shock compensation, simplification of design and increased reliability and safety; reduced power expenditures.
