FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: acoustic procedure for diagnosis of technical state of main crossing over natural or artificial barriers refers to pipeline transport and can be used for diagnosis of technical state of main at its crossing over motor and rail roads. The acoustic procedure for diagnosis of technical state of main crossing over natural or artificial barriers consists in arranging main into a protective jacket and in reception of acoustic signals by means of acoustic transducers; by parameters of signals there is determined technical condition of inter-tubular space of a pair "main-protective sleeve". Before reception of acoustic signals there are formed diagnostic characteristics of incipient or existent defects of an inter-tubular interval of the crossing. Acoustic signals are received from inter-tubular interval of the pair "main-protective sleeve", while diagnosis of technical state of the crossing by parameters of received acoustic signals is carried out on base of earlier detected diagnostic characteristics of incipient or existent defects of the inter-tubular interval.

EFFECT: expanded diagnosis functionality of acoustic procedure.
