SUBSTANCE: invention may be used to sow seeds of crops, garden, medicinal or decorative plants, to plant rhizomes, tubers, bulbs or bulbotubers, and also to plant rooted green or lignificated hefts of various crops and plant seedlings grown in a hothouse into soil. The biocontainer comprises a shell made of material produced by pressing - from one or a mixture of several shaping biologically assimilated substances, with a cavity for planting stock. The shell material also additionally comprises in its composition granules of swelling water and/or aqueous solutions absorbent, which is biodegradable in soil. Speed of absorbent swelling in presence of soil moisture and absorption capacity exceed accordingly swelling speed and absorption capacity of biocontainer shell material.

EFFECT: using invention will make it possible to improve parameters of vegetative and generative development of plants due to increased comfort of conditions created by a biocontainer for plants sprouting and development under drought or insufficient watering conditions with simultaneous preservation of ecological purity of plants planting and development zone.
