FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: digital amplitude detector has an analogue-to-digital converter, an amplitude comparator, a clock pulse generator, a controlled phase changer, a phase-locked loop module consisting of a frequency-tuned generator with two quadrature phase signal outputs, a phase detector and two frequency conversion lines consisting of a series-connected frequency converter and an intermediate frequency amplifier each, an input clock pulse generator for the analogue-to-digital converter, wherein the output of the phase detector is connected to the control input of the controlled phase changer through parallel-connected inverter and low-pass filter.

EFFECT: wider dynamic range on the level of input signals owing to a lower threshold of the signal value for which high detection accuracy is maintained.
