METHOD OF TREATING PRERETINAL HEMATOMAS Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61F9/07 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely ophthalmologic surgery and is intended for treatment of preretinal hematomas. After carrying out vitrectomy PHM is stained by introduction of 0.5 ml of preparation "kenalog". Opening of PHM is carried out by means of retinal microknife at maximal distance from macula centre in zone of the largest hematoma prominence. PHM is ablated by means of vitreotome and collet forceps, exposing hematoma capsule. Hematoma capsule is stained by introduction of 0.5 ml of preparation "kenalog". Hematoma capsule is removed with simultaneous active aspiration of hematoma content by means of straight cannula with silicon tip.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase treatment efficiency due to reduction of intrusion trauma, possibility to remove even flat preretinal hematomas without risk of injuring retina; reduction of risk of post-operation complications due to careful removal of earlier stained PHM and hematoma capsule, which leads to reduction of risk of development of epiretinal membranes and fibrousis of PHM and haemorrhage capsule remnants; reduction of terms of patients' rehabilitation due to realisation of simultaneous removal of hematoma capsule and active aspiration of its content; increase of visual functions due to complete removal of blood from retina surface using straight cannula with silicon tip.
