FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of evaporators with flow in thin sheets intended for concentration and evaporation cooling of solutions and water desalination, and may be used chemical and food industries etc. Proposed evaporator comprises cylindrical casing, heating chamber, suspension feed chamber, concentrated solution discharge chamber, secondary vapor condensate chamber, cylindrical and inner tubes with ring shell arranged there between and provided with secondary vapor swirlers. Cylindrical inset with perforated wall is arranged between cylindrical tube and ring shell. Ring shell is arranged all along cylindrical tubes. Secondary vapor flow swirlers incorporate chambers to accumulate solution drops and channels to discharge them. Top ends of inner tubes are fitted tightly in coolant chambers while their bottom ends are passed through evaporator bottom.
EFFECT: ruling out collapse of gas-fluid layer, intensive mixing and evaporation, higher heat release factor.
