FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sedimentation of suspended particles in fluid and their collection, and may be used in some process in chemical industry. Settler comprises battery of chambers arranged around central axis and having height making at least two diameters. Every chamber is made up of cylindrical housing with taper bottom, annular web secured at chamber top, closed by cover and provided with distributing chute on inner side, circular fluid collecting chute arranged along perimetre, receiving funnel with discharge pipeline and sediment discharge pipeline made up of branch pipe connected to taper bottom. Air unions are connected to every chambers to allow air flows and control pressure and arranged in chamber casing and on cover of annular web. Settler structural elements are made from polymer materials, for example, from polypropylene.

EFFECT: higher quality of separation, efficiency, reliability and longer life.
