FIELD: purification of waste water. SUBSTANCE: settler has hull separated by cylindrical partition into inlet and settling chambers, receiving hopper, tangential intake branch pipe and circular tray for withdrawal of purified water. Hoppers are installed for vertical motion on guiding bush fastened on radial rods. Hopper is provided with float in the form of closed chamber formed by tapered shell and auxiliary hopper. Partition has holes and is provided with blades. Rods are in the form of plates which are parallel to central axis of hull. When leaving branch pipe waste water is twisted in inlet chamber. Floating impurities accumulate along perimeter of hopper and flow to it. As water level changes hopper due to its floatability also changes its height.
