FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: described is a method of producing adducts of maleic anhydride with low-molecular (co)polymers based on diene monomers or copolymers of diene monomers with styrene in an inert atmosphere in the presence of a gel inhibitor while heating, characterised by that the method comprises two steps: at the first step, α-olefin with 12-26 carbon atoms is treated with maleic anhydride at temperature 200-230°C with molar ratio of α-olefin to maleic anhydride equal to 1:1.08-1.75, and at the second step the reaction mixture is mixed with low-molecular diene (co)polymer or a copolymer of diene with styrene with weight ratio of α-olefin to the polymer equal to 80-40:20-60 and the maleation process continues at temperature 195-205°C.
EFFECT: obtaining adducts of maleic anhydride with low-molecular polymers based on diene monomers or copolymers of diene monomers with styrene, characterised by low dynamic viscosity.
