FIELD: chemistry of polymers, more particularly preparation of modified low molecular (co)polymers based on diene monomers, more specifically maleic anhydride-low molecular (co)polymer adducts. SUBSTANCE: in method of preparing maleic anhydride-low molecular (co)polymer adducts based on diene monomers or diene monomers or copolymers of diene monomers and styrene in inert gas atmosphere at 190-250 C, gel formation inhibitor includes product of reaction of maleinized (co)polymer based on diene monomers or diene monomer-styrene copolymer having molecular weight of 600- 2000 and comprising 5-25 wt % of bonded maleic anhydride with paraaminodiphenyl amine in bonded maleic anhydride to para-aminodiphenyl amine molar ratio of 1:0.8-1.0, respectively in amount of 0.01-0.20 g-mole of bonded para-aminophenyl amine per 1000 g of low molecular (co)polymer used for preparing adduct. Method makes it possible to reduce viscosity of maleic anhydride-low molecular (co)polymer adducts due to suppressing gel formation during manufacture thereof, thus improving technological efficiency of the resulting adducts during use thereof.
