FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: latch-manhole includes pipe flanges which are rigidly connected by stiff longitudinal traverses. Cover is made in the form of cylindrical shell with mobile flanges and external gland seals. Mobile flanges are coupled by screw translation mechanisms. Internal gland seals are fitted on pipe flange inner surface. Support rollers are arranged on said cylindrical shell. Crosswise traverses are support roller guides are secured on longitudinal traverses. Cover is arranged in crosswise traverses to roll on rollers. Flanges on every joint are tightened by inner grooves of two closing semi-rings. Semi-tings are arranged to turn on axles. Outer surfaces of flanges and groove walls in semi-rings feature taper shape. Retainers are arranged on upper traverse. Latch-manhole is provided with plugs for detachable flange joints to process tests. Plug if provided with eye with hook for guide rod secured on longitudinal traverse.
