FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: liquid organic scintillator, consisting of an activator, a POPOP spectrum mixer and a scintillator base. The base is a mixture of synthetic organic hydrocarbons - linear alkylbenzene with saturated vapour flash point of 150°C, having passed through adsorption purification, and the activator is paraterphenyl (p-Tp), wherein components are in the following ratio: linear alkylbenzene 1 l, paraterphenyl (p-Tp) from 1.5 to 2 g/l, POPOP from 0.010 to 0.020 g/l.
EFFECT: low inflammability, low toxicity and high transparency of the scintillator, as well as low cost of production.
