FIELD: chemistry; measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions for nuclear spectrometry and can be used in nuclear industry, scientific research of nuclear and radioecological directions for determination of low-energy beta-emitting radionuclides, for example, tritium. Liquid scintillation cocktail composition contains xylene as an aromatic solvent, neonol (oxyethylated monoalkylphenol) as a surfactant, and as additives for increasing light output naphthalene contains two scintillators — 2,5-diphenyloxazole (PPO) and 1,4-di-[2-(5-phenyl)-oxazolyl]benzene (POPOP), one of which is primary, and the other is secondary, and is characterized by the fact that butyl glycol (BG) is additionally introduced into the composition at the following ratio of components, wt.%: xylene is 46.92, BG is 16, neonol is 34, naphthalene is 2, PPO is 1, POPOP is 0.08.
EFFECT: high quality of measuring radiating radionuclides with a high amount of the introduced sample for measurement.
