FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: parameters of the technical state of monitored units are picked up from an information signal in a measurement unit. The average value of parameters is calculated in a computing unit. Deviation of the parameters is calculated. Coefficients of the parameters and values of the parameters are calculated. Statistical characteristics are recorded into a memory unit which stores reference and maximum permissible parameters. Generality of each parameter is evaluated in the computing unit. Coefficients of priority ranking of parameters are calculated. The most informative collection of parameters is selected in an analysis unit based on the priority ranking evaluation and then compared with reference and maximum permissible parameters in a comparator unit. The results are used to evaluate the technical state of basic units of a computer network, and the technical state of the network in a defined period of time is predicted. The results are displayed in a data display unit.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining the technical state of units of a computer network.
