SUBSTANCE: method consists in phase-by-phase power balancing by current control of arc of each of electrodes and controlling of electric parameters of low-voltage circuit by switching on three-phase controlled transformer-type electric reactor between furnace transformer and low-voltage circuit.

EFFECT: improving control reliability, minimising affect on supply mains, reducing specific consumption of electric power and increasing electric furnace capacity.
