The method includes establishment of sums of average daily temperatures from the moment of sowing to the phase of branching and quantity of past precipitation, calculation of the hydrothermic coefficient during the period "sowing of seeds - branching of stalks", and identification of forecasted crop capacity. At the same time in the "branching" phase, number of stalks and primary branches are counted on the area of 1 m2, and the forecasted crop capacity of achenes is calculated using the parameters of the mathematical relation:

EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine crop capacity of safflower oil achenes at the branching stage with high extent of accuracy.
