FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: children nasal joint mask to be used with a nasal continuous positive airway pressure (nCPAP) system comprises a mask body and a base. The mask body shapes a cavity and comprises a front portion, an intermediate portion and a back portion. The front portion ends with a front edge shaping an aperture opened to the cavity and having a triangular form as a whole to be arranged above a patient's nose. The back portion comprises a corrugated sector characterised by higher flexibility as compared to flexibility of the intermediate frame portion. The base extends from the back portion opposed to the front portion, and shapes at least one longitudinal port passing through a thickness of the base and coupled via the fluid medium with the cavity. The intermediate frame portion is rotary in lateral directions relatively to the base ensured by the corrugated sector. Various versions of the mask are offered also.
