FIELD: fire-fighting means.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to fire-fighting equipment, particularly to fire control facilities, both indoors, and outdoors. A fire extinguishing unit comprises a sealed case filled with a fire extinguishing agent in an upper portion of which there is a gas generating discharge chamber with arranging at least a portion of the chamber inside the case cavity, while its lower portion comprises an in-built outlet cap with a diaphragm, provided with a channel system in its lateral and end walls. As a fire extinguishing agent, the unit contains water or aqueous solutions; the cap channels are provided with spraying caps providing the fire extinguishing agent sprayed in the form of a formed polydisperse drop flow of the drop diameter not exceeding 150 mcm.

EFFECT: unit is characterised by high effective fire suppression ensured by complete and stable fire extinguishing agent emission from the unit case and maintenance of the jet intensity of the fire extinguishing agent to the end of operation.
