FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industrial devices designed to sort objects to visual attributes, for example, colour. Proposed device comprises bin, appliance to feed objects by pieces, horizontal conveying driven disk to transfer objects to photo receiver and receiving bins, appliance to discharge sorted objects into receiving bins, bins quantity corresponding to objects types, and pickup to determine object position on conveying disk. Note here that photo receiver unit is made up of video camera connected to analysis and control unit and that conveying disk replaceable background presser-colour ring arranged along disk edges.
EFFECT: sorting low-color saturation objects, for example diamonds, higher efficiency and accuracy.
