FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: utility and distinction areas are defined for each mineral object from a sample batch. Colour images are made for at least two sides of each mineral object, their total area and total area of all sides of mineral objects recognized as utile are determined. Source RGB arrays are converted into HLS and Yuv colour spaces, with source RGB arrays preserved. Colour correction is performed for each of nine source arrays, resulting in an aggregate of corrected RGB, HLS, Yuv arrays. Process parameters are determined and dressability is assessed for each mineral object.
EFFECT: increased speed, reliability and accuracy of measurements.
