FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of hard-alloy tip made from sintered tungsten carbide-based hard alloy. It may be used to produce cutting tools and work edges of machining tools. Tip is made from sintered tungsten carbide-based hard alloy containing cobalt and nickel. Note here that said tip has apex zone and jointing zone. Tungsten-to-cobalt ratio is equal in section from apex to jointing zones while nickel varies alloy chemical composition. Note here that nickel content increases in direction from apex to jointing zone. Eutecticum temperature of nickel with tungsten increases that of allow while fusion temperature exceeds sintering temperature to form alloy liquid phase. Proposed tip is produced in layer-by-layer powdering of mix layers containing varying amount of nickel, compaction and sintering.
EFFECT: higher wear resistance of cutting edge and ductile joint zone.
