FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a method and a device for detecting failure in a radio link (RL) for an uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) channels in a long-term evolution (LTD) communication system. The system includes at least one wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) and at least one evolved Node-B (eNodeB). It is determined whether status synchronisation RL or synchronisation absence status is present. RL failure is declared if the synchronisation absence status is detected.
EFFECT: efficient support of radio links - signalisation carriers.
