IMPLANTED DEVICE FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF URINE INCONTINENCE (2 VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61F2/02

Abstract RU 2425655 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. Implanted device in accordance with the first version is made in form of one-piece knitted construction from biocompatible polypropylene and polyvinyldenfluoride monothreads with diameter 0.07-0.12 mm with edges in form of closed loops with size 1.0-1.5 mm. Construction is made from two one-piece knitted shape-stable tapes, each of which is formed by 4-8 loop columns, connected with each other by transverse broaches, every second one, due to application of two systems of knitting: first system 4/5, 1/0; second system 0/1, 3/2 with rapport equal 1, connected with each other in central part by means of bridges from two additional loop columns, with formation of central site for placement under bulbar part of urethra in males and four sleeves in form of tapes: two on each side from central site for atraumatic fixation by bone structures of pelvis. Ratio of width of each sleeve to width of central site is 1:2.2±2.5; and ratio of central site length to length of each of four sleeves equals 1:6.9±7.4. In accordance with the second version implanted device is made in form of one-piece knitted construction from biocompatible polypropylene and polyvinyldenfluoride monothreads with diameter 0.07-0.12 mm with edges in form of closed loops with size 1.0-1.5 mm. Construction is made from two one-piece knitted shape-stable tapes, each of which is formed by 4-8 loop columns, connected with each other by transverse broaches, every second one, due to application of two systems of knitting: first system 4/5, 1/0; second system 0/1, 3/2 with rapport equal 1, connected with each other in central part by means of bridge from two additional loop columns, with formation of central site for placement under bulbar part of urethra in males and four sleeves in form of tapes: two on each side from central site for atraumatic fixation on bone structures of pelvis. Ratio of width of each sleeve to width of central site is 1:2.2±2.5. Ratio of central site length to length of each of four sleeves equals 1:6.9±7.4. For atraumatic fixation in one-piece knitted structure in each pair of sleeves additionally for two thirds of its length placed is non-absorbable surgical thread, passing on central site and rounding bridge, the remaining one third of thread projects beyond the limits of sleeve edges.

EFFECT: inventions ensure achievement of necessary compression on male urethra by creating directed uniform pressure on bulbar part of urethra with simultaneous atraumatic fixation of endoprosthesis on bone structures of pelvis, including patients with excessive body weight, in whose body load on endoprosthesis is considerably higher.
