FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: oil feed and application device is mounted on rails and equipped with electronic control unit to be used to send instruction to said device for lubrication proportioning and application. Acoustic emission power from zone of mechanical interaction between left and right wheels and rails is tracked to estimate emission power and compare it with background magnitudes. Comparison results are used to derive logical "0" or "1" to determine required amount of lubrication from combination thereof. Proposed system comprises analysis and control unit with its inputs connected with outputs of pickups, control signal generator with its input connected to one of analysis and control unit outputs and it output connected to actuator. Besides, system comprises acoustic power tracking units mounted on axle boxes and comprising filters, amplifiers, ADCs, switches, units of background and reference acoustic signals for various intensity of lubrication feed onto rails.
EFFECT: reduced oil consumption, rail and wheel wear.
