FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, particularly, to device intended for controlling rail lubrication. Proposed method consists in that a set of pickups is used to control vibration developed by every separate controlled rolling stock wheel flange in contact with rail head side surface. Obtained values of vibration are compared with tolerable values obtained in preliminary calibration measurements of vibration and factor of friction between wheel flange and rail head side surfaces and loaded into memory of lubrication control unit. In case tolerable values are exceeded by controlled wheel flange, control unit generates signals to be sent to appropriate rail lubrication device for it to adjust amount of lubrication to beefed in the zone of contact between wheel flange and rail head side surfaces.
EFFECT: reduced war of wheel flanges and rail head side surfaces.
