SUBSTANCE: before measuring frequency, the beat signal amplitude is normalised and the obtained normalised signal undergoes Chebyshev-type non-linear polynomial transformation. Frequency of the transformed signal is measured and interpreted into range.

EFFECT: high accuracy of range finding without interference into the high-frequency channel and wide spectrum of the emitted signal.
