FIELD: fire-fighting means.

SUBSTANCE: method includes protected space supplying with fire extinguishing ecologically safe gases, e.g. nitrogen, carbon dioxide, or ozone-safe freons which during fire-fighting are premixed with fire extinguishing aerosols supplied in gas currents delayed by 1 s and more; the fire extinguishing aerosols are supplied to the ecologically safe gas currents in the relation of rate of flow of the supplied fire extinguishing gases to the aerosol compound (2÷6)/1. A device comprises a body with a combustion chamber and a charge of solid propellant aerosol-generating fire extinguishing compounds, a grain igniter and an outlet with a retention grid and a membrane. The case represents two cylinders, eccentrically arranged one inside the other; the external cylinder is rigidly fixed on the internal cylinder of the combustion chamber forming thereby a closed intercylinder space, and the internal cylinder containing the charge of the aerosol-generating compounds is spaced from the retention grid and the membrane of the combustion chamber being 0.1-10 of its diameters, has shaped orifices with a membrane regularly distributed on a generatrix of the cylinder, connected with the intercylinder space; the external cylinder has unions for intercylinder space supplying with ecologically safe fire extinguishing gases.

EFFECT: more effective fire extinguishing.
