SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire fighting equipment, in particular, to a fire extinguishing aerosol generator, providing fire suppression due to the impact on the center of an aerosol jet generated during the combustion of a solid charge of an aerosol-forming composition (AFC) with a negative oxygen balance. Device for volumetric aerosol fire extinguishing, containing a thermally protected body, electrical start unit, aerosol-forming charge fixed in the body, combustion chamber is formed inside the body, body is provided with a bottom and nozzle cover, made in the form of a truncated cone with flanging and with nozzle holes distributed along the side surface of the cover, differs in that the start-up unit is made in the bottom, the free space with a function of a combustion chamber is formed around the charge, nozzle cover in the shape of a truncated cone is made with a side tilt angle from 10 to 15 degrees, and on the end surface of the charge from the side of the nozzle cover there is a cavity filled with a substance decomposing with heat absorption and formation of products that do not support combustion, the cavity is isolated from the open side with non-combustible material, charge is made of a composition with a negative oxygen balance, the device is additionally equipped with an ejecting nozzle attached to the body from the side of the nozzle cover.

EFFECT: better fire extinguishing ability while maintaining the temperature level of an aerosol jet, as well as ensuring effective heat removal to prevent the oxidized combustion products of aerosol formulations from burning down with a negative oxygen balance.
