FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to production of thin-wall high-strength shells from structural alloyed steels. Proposed method comprises cutting tubes into billets, their mechanical, thermal hardening and rotational machining. After thermal hardening, billets are subjected to machining, phosphate treatment, rotary rolling-out in one or several passes, rotary burnishing of processed surface and rotary swaging of end parts. Then, said billet is subjected to elastic deformation of internal hydraulic pressure. Rotary rolling-out, rotary burnishing and rotary swaging are carried out by different-section rolls. Rotary burnishing and rotary swaging are carried out with identical clearance between billet inner surface and mandrel.
EFFECT: higher strength, reduced consumption of material.
