FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: accelerator powder contains perfluoroalkanes from a group comprising C₁₂F₂₆-C₁₆F₄₂, and additionally contains perfluoroalkanes selected from a group comprising C₁₈F₄₆-C₅₆F₁₁₄, or mixture thereof, in amount of 2-50 wt %. The method of producing such accelerator powder involves fluorination of corresponding alkanes with cobalt trifluoride, wherein fluorination is carried out in two steps. Hydrogen fluoride is separated from the fluorination products. Individual perfluoroalkanes are extracted using known techniques. Perfluoroalkanes are mixed in a given ratio. The mixture is heated to temperature higher than melting point of the mixture by 5-10°C and then cooled to obtain crystals which are then crushed to particle size of 1-2 mcm.

EFFECT: invention increases wear resistance and weather resistance of the accelerator powder for treating plastic skis based on cheap raw material.
