FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves "soft" fluorination of an organic compound, having carbon-hydrogen bonds, with cobalt trifluoride at high temperature to obtain a mixture of perfluoro- and polyfluorinated compounds, and then bringing said mixture into contact with molecular fluorine in the presence of a catalyst at high temperature. The organic compound having carbon-hydrogen bonds used is an aromatic compound from a group comprising methylbenzene, dimethylbenzene, naphthalene, methylnaphthalene; total content of partially fluorinated compounds in the mixture of perfluoro- and polyfluorinated compounds is not more than 100 g/l per fluoride ion split in a reaction with ethylene diamine; the catalyst used is group IB or VIIIB metal fluorides which are dispersed on a porous support which is stable in a fluorine medium, with specific surface area of not less than 1 m2/g; and the mixture of perfluoro- and polyfluorinated compounds is brought into contact with molecular fluorine at temperature 250-450°C.
EFFECT: use of present method enables to increase output of the end product with higher purity, simply control over semi-products and ensure easy afterpurification of products.
