FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a heat-treated copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene with 12-15 mol % hexafluoropropylene. The method involves copolymerisation of said monomers in a mass of monomers in the presence of a chain-terminating agent, a radical perfluorinated initiator using a charge mixture of monomers and feeding in a mixture of monomers during the copolymerisation process. The method involves subsequent separation of the polymer by removing the solvent via evaporation. The chain-terminating agent used is perfluoro-3,5,7-trioxaoctylvinyl ether in amount of 0.3-2.0% of the weight of the charge mixture of monomers, fed simultaneously at the beginning of polymerisation.
EFFECT: obtaining heat-treated copolymers, having high melt fluidity without reducing strength and elongation, simple technique of producing copolymers and high efficiency of the process.
