FIELD: oil and gas production.
SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in sampling and preparing sample, in oil sample heating during 20-40 min to temperature 340-360°C, in withdrawing distillate and simultaneous displacement of newly formed hydrogen sulphide and light mercaptans with inert gas from oil and distillate into successively arranged absorption solutions, and in following iodine-metric titration of these solutions. Also, as absorption solution for determination of hydrogen sulphide there is used acidulous solution of cadmium chloride, while for determination of light mercaptans there is used alkali solution of cadmium chloride as absorption solution.
EFFECT: upgraded accuracy and information value of analysis.
