FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to round grinding bodies with high abrasive resistance used for crushing uranium ore and other materials in ore mills. Grinding bodies are made from uranium-titanium allow of the following composition (wt %): titanium - 0.4-1.2, admixtures 0.1-0.41, uranium making the base. Alloy is produced in smelting return depleted uranium with titanium alloying. Besides, alloy is subjected to thermal processing to increase abrasive resistance.
EFFECT: lower costs, higher quality.
