FIELD: processing of uranium ores. SUBSTANCE: method includes separation of rich fraction with uranium content of above 0.400% from ore supplied for hydrometallurgical processing with help of batch radiometric classifying. Ore is subjected to crushing, wet grinding and thickening of pulp. Uranium is leached with sulfuric acid at excessive acidity of 10-40 g/l. Pulp after leaching is directed for filtering, and filtrate is supplied for uranium extraction. Cake after filtration, without additional washing is fed to stage of leaching of ore depleted fraction. This leaching is carried out at pH 4.2-2.2. Then, countercurrent sorption of uranium is performed from pulp with help of ion-exchanger resin. Uranium is desorbed from saturated ion-exchange resin with solution of sulfuric and nitric acids. Uranium is extracted from desorbents with organic mixture. Solid phase reextraction of uranium is effected with solution of ammonium carbonate with precipitation of crystals of ammonium uranyl carbonate.
