FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises sheet rolling to produce alternating ledges on its surface separated by grooves and subsequent rolling on round-body rolls to produce flat surface. Complete destruction of metal line structure is ensured by arranging groves at constant spacing and orienting them at 40-50° to rolling axis. Note here that area of grooves makes at least 15% of rolled surface area. Depth of grooves makes 0.1 - 0.3 of rolled sheet thickness. Said grooves are intercrossed to form rhombic ledges on their surface. Note also that spacing of grooves is at least three times as great as their depth. Besides, grooves are produced by sheet rolling between two rolls with helical ribs made on their body.
EFFECT: higher quality of hot- and cold-rolled sheet.
