FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in extraction of flux cord wire from spool (9), notably, from its centre and in driving flux cord wire in motion for transfer to bath (3) of melted metal; also, part of path flux cord wire runs in guiding tube (13), further end of which (32) is positioned at certain height (H) from surface (PP') of bath (3) of melted metal. Flux cord wire (2) is driven to motion and is subjected to straightening under conditions practically not changing its, in essence, round section and facilitating its introduction and immersion into depth of bath (3) in vertical direction. The installation consists of the device for driving wire into vertical rectilinear direction without change of its round section and facilitating correction of deformation of said section.
EFFECT: deep penetration of flux cord wire into bath in direction maximally approached to vertical through whole height up to wire disintegration.
