FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fibre-optic measuring devices. Wire (2) with core for measuring temperature of molten bath contains optical fibre (6), metal tube, on sides surrounding optical fibre (6), intermediate layer (4) arranged between metal tube and optical fibre and made in form of cord of fibres. Intermediate layer is made of fusible material so that fragments of intermediate layer are easily liquefied under effects of molten metal temperatures, forming molten clod layer, wherein density of intermediate layer before fusion is from 0.3 to 1.7 g/cm3. Interface between said molten clod layer and the remaining non-melted intermediate layer is gas-permeable and enables the intermediate layer combustion products to pass in a direction opposite to the molten material of the intermediate layer.
EFFECT: technical result consists in enabling increase in reliability of temperature measurement.
