SUBSTANCE: free piston duplex power module with common combustion chamber includes common external combustion chamber and two power modules the symmetry axes of pistons of which are located on one straight line, and pistons of power modules move in opposite phase. Impulse method of movement synchronisation of pistons of duplex power module consists in the fact that control system divides the main impulse of generated electric power of each working cycle of power module into separate impulses of electric power, monitors current values of speeds of pistons of both power modules and generates error signal of speeds of their pistons, in compliance with which it decreases relative impulse duration of that power module the speeds of pistons of which are lower than those of the other power module. When speeds of pistons of both power modules become equal, control system resets the value of impulse relative duration.
EFFECT: increasing specific power.
