FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: method of synchronisation of moving pistons in a free-piston internal combustion engine with an opposite pistons travel incorporated with an electrical module converting the engine fuel chemical energy into electric power consists in that every piston of the said engine is coupled with its generator to allow synchronising the engine pistons motion by decreasing the load on one of the generators for the control system to trace the speed of every piston and, further on, in compliance with the pistons speed unbalance signal, to reduce the load on the generator coupled with the lower speed piston, as compared to another piston.
EFFECT: power savings, higher specific output and lower specific volume.
