FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power plant engineering. Method for synchronizing the movement of pistons in the antiphase of a two-cylinder free-piston external combustion engine comprising pistons with cylinders of a two-cylinder free-piston external combustion engine, the intake valve of the cylinder and the control system according to the invention, if at the discrepancy of one of the pistons of the two-cylinder free-piston external combustion engine exceeds the speed of the oppositely moving piston, the control system closes the intake valve of that cylinder, the speed of which is greater than the speed of the oppositely moving piston of a free-piston external combustion engine for the time necessary to equalize the speeds of both pistons of the external combustion engine, air entering the working cavity of that piston, the speed of which is greater than the speed of the oppositely moving piston of a free-piston external combustion engine is interrupted, and the piston velocities of the free-piston external combustion engine are equalized, then the control system sets the intake valve of the piston whose speed is greater than the speed of the opposing moving piston of the free-piston external combustion engine to its previous position.
EFFECT: invention provides synchronous movement of pistons and anchors in the antiphase of a two-cylinder free-piston external combustion engine.
