FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: in load capacity control method and device the capacity is controlled with smooth change of input electric resistance of the device with simultaneous conversion of nature of electric input resistance to active constituent part of this resistance. Device includes transformer with sectionalised secondary winding to outputs of which two in-series connected diodes are connected by means of anode and cathode; cathodes of diodes are connected to plus outputs of electric energy accumulators of high capacity, which perform the functions of constant voltage divider, and to electrodes of double-action semiconductor devices. Other electrodes of double-action devices are connected by means of plus bus to load, and anodes of diodes and other output of energy accumulators are connected by means of minus bus to other load output. Uncontrolled part of load capacity is added to controlled part of capacity by means of diodes of rectifier and double-action devices.
EFFECT: higher capacity factor of the device within the whole control range of load capacity, lower non-linear current distortions, voltage in supply mains, lower load current pulsation factor, larger functional capabilities of device fed from AC and DC sources with simultaneous conversion of nature of full input electric resistance of the device.
