FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to electrical engineering and may be used in railway electrically propelled vehicles, in conversion devices of renewable sources of electrical energy and other sources of DC energy for conversion in AC energy. According to method of power control and monophase converter device, semi-conductor devices are cut-off in converter legs with minimum angles of advance of devices disconnection. In zone of converter power control mentioned angle of advance of disconnection is changed upon converter power increase to minimum angle, and upon decrease of converter power - it increases to 180 degrees. Controlled component of converter power is summarised with non-controlled component. Converters legs outputs are connected to sealing offs of sections of transformer secondary side. Anodic group of converter legs is assembled on single-action devices, and cathodic group of converter legs - on double-action devices. Electrical energy storage units of high capacity are connected parallel to converter input. Bypass diode is connected to positive bus by cathode, and to negative bus of DC network by anode.

EFFECT: increase of power factor and reduction of nonlinear distortions of current and voltage in AC network, current pulsation factor at converter input.
