SUBSTANCE: electronic device with a sensor panel, a display and a joystick, where at least one sensor panel or at least one part (sector) of a sensor panel or at least one joystick or its part are arranged on the rear side of the electronic device body for functioning in the specified position, at the same time the electronic device user by means of manipulation actions with the sensor panel or its part (sector) or with the joystick or its part controls at least one virtual symbol displayed at least on one display arranged at the face side of the electronic device body.

EFFECT: expansion of electronic device functional capabilities due to control of virtual symbols displayed on the electronic device display, by means of realisation of alternative versions of functional arrangement of the sensor panel or the joystick in the electronic device, and by means of arrangement of one fully or partially sensor display at three sides of the electronic device.
