FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: digital multimedia codec based on block conversion achieves higher efficiency by reprojection of digital multimedia data components into vectors or parallel units, on which multiple conversion operations may be carried out on the basis of architecture with single instruction flow and multiple data flows. In case of one-dimensional overlapping biorthogonal conversion, components of digital multimedia data are reprojected into vectors, for which "butterfly" stages of parts of preliminary/postfilter overlapping and block conversion may be arranged on the basis of SIMD. In case of two-dimensional overlapping biorthogonal conversion, components of digital multimedia data are reprojected into vectors, for which hadamard operator of preliminary/post-filter overlapping and block conversion may be arranged on the basis of SIMD.
EFFECT: higher coding and decoding speed for digital data.
