FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to vertebrology. Standard radiologic examination of neck in position of patient standing in lateral projection is performed without functional probe and with its maximal extension. Roentgenograms are used to determine atlanto-occipital angle between line drawn through basion and opistion, and line drawn through the middle of projection of anterior and posterior arch of atlas. Angle of maximal mobility of atlanto-occipital joint is calculated by subtraction of smaller atlanto-occipital angle from larger one. If value of maximal mobility is lower than 6 degrees, mobility is determined as pathologically low, from 7 to 9 degrees - conventionally-pathologic reduced mobility, from 10 to 23 degrees - normal mobility, from 24 to 26 degrees conventionally-pathologic increased mobility, from 27 degrees - pathologic high mobility.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine mobility in atlanto-occipital joint more accurately.
